stolen from their website but great view of hotel from water
We stayed at the Secrets Marquis Los Cabos and what a wonderful experience it was.  The staff was just simply AMAZING!  The food was WONDERFUL!  There was not one bad, unpleasant, uncomfortable moment at ANY TIME while staying at the resort.

The staff:
You never want for anything.  I heard "my pleasure" more times in one week than I have my entire life....and when they said it they meant it.  You are truly on vacation here....they do everything for you.

The food:
Simply to die for.  There was NOTHING that wasn't amazing.  I have to say my favorite dish was in the "fancy" restaurant:  Pumpkin soup.  I have to add that I do not like pumpkin anything BUT this soup.  WOW!!!
If it wasn't on the menu, you simply told them what you wanted and it appeared.
The presentation of the food was so great you almost hated to mess it up by eating.....but you got over that quickly enough after you tasted the food.

The room:
What they call their Jr. Suite would be an upgrade in others.  Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was very large with a large jacuzzi tub.  Shower was a walk in shower.  I do suggest that you put the bath mat about two feet from the shower door because when you open the door it will catch on the mat.  The shower door opens in but no handle (this was the worst part of the entire experience at this resort).
stolen from their website but the room really did look this way
Each evening they "turn down" your room.  They replace any towels you used during the day, they placed your coffee cups out for the morning, they placed mints on your pillows, the placed mats with "towels" on top of them with Secrets slippers on both sides of the bed, placed their Secrets bathrobes on the bed....I could go on and on about the service.
The view from our room balcony
Every morning in your niche (cubby hole) there was a tray with a coffee pot, fresh fruit, bread and rolls.  We are coffee drinkers so the night before we would call and request two coffee pots and they always asked what time we wanted it delivered.  If you don't request a time it is delivered between 6am-8am (it was never later than 6:30 am for us).

Wake up calls were GREAT!  You call down for a wake up call and they ask, "would you like a second wake up call" hehe your own little snooze button.

Activities:
First night there they had a raffle for a pair of diamond earings!  I didn't win :(
Casino Night:  The game is fixed...I didn't win but had a great time.  The winner received a buy one get one free sunset cruise.  (The winner of casino night gave us the prize because she was leaving the next day...and I think she felt bad because she won the earings the night before).

All Inclusive:
NO WRIST BANDS!  How nice it was not to have that plastic wrist band on all week.  No limitations on how many times you could visit a restaurant, no reservations required....amazing experience.

Extras:
Each night we were given a "newsletter" for the resort.  It told us the activities for the following day, the drink of the day, spa special for the day and any other information that was important.  They also had a congratulation section for honeymooners and anniversaries!!!

Customer Service:
I know I talked about this earlier in the staff section but I cannot stress enough just how wonderful everyone was.  We have been to many resorts all over Mexico and there is NO comparison with the customer service.  It doesn't even stop when you leave...Let me tell you about their customer service.....24 hours after we checked out of this resort.  We went through airport security and my husband left his wedding ring in the basket.  When I couldn't get through to the airport I called the resort.  Within the hour they called the airport, located the ring and made arrangements to get the ring to me.  Thank you Carlos Humberto Ramos Pulido for being an OUTSTANDING representative of this resort!!!  We are already planning our return trip back to Secrets Marquis Los Cabos!!!

Outside the Resort:
We rode the bus (yes, we rode the bus) into Cabo (Resort about 7 miles outside of Cabo) for three days.  NEVER a problem, it was so easy.  There wasn't a bus stop outside our resort but that didn't matter.....they see you on the road, they stop and pick you up.  About $2.00 per person each way.  Loved riding the bus!!  Joe went scuba diving and, although the water was freezing (about 65 degrees) he says it was one of the best dives EVER!
Arch at Land's End from our Sunset Cruise
We rented a car and drove to San Jose (about 14 miles from Resort in opposite direction of Cabo) and WOW!!  Absolutely loved the shopping square.  No vendors hassling you but they would ask to you come see what they had but would only take a Mexican minute.
Lovers Beach (Sea of Cortez), Divorce Beach (Pacific Ocean), Pelican Rock....absolutely beautiful!!!!  With these beaches you take a water taxi to them....so cool!  Land's End:  The majestic stone arch at the southern tip of Baja, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean.
Went to Chelino Beach...got stung by some jellyfish (only four times but they were babies so not so bad).
Went to La Pez to a few beaches....so wish we would have found out about them earlier in our trip.  It was 5 hour (round trip) to go but well worth it.  At these two beaches we visited you could walk about 1/2 mile and the water was still below the waist!!

More pictures and information to come when I recover from our vacation.
